I have always been fascinated with color—the way it changes in the light, the play between different shades and, most importantly, the way colors evoke emotion. This passion for color has been a driving force in my work. All powerful, the colors in my paintings drive my decisions, setting the tone of each piece and pushing me to reach for that perfect play of light and dark, bold and subtle.
The depth of texture in much of my work comes from that effort to draw the viewer into the piece, searching the shadows for color intrigue. My style of painting is described as “Process Painting”. As I work, I react to what is happening on the canvas. Sometimes bold, sometimes quiet, my work is not so much abstract as it is kinetic. I hope that you, the viewer, take as much pleasure in my work as I have had in creating it.
